Our Phuket resort doesn't show up when travellers ask ChatGPT. Why, and what can we do?
You are not alone. Hotelworld AI's World's Best at AI 2025 Index found: "Only about 1 in 6 hotel properties worldwide appear when travellers search with AI." AI tends to recommend hotels it can describe confidently from clear, consistent, current information. Make your key facts easy to read and check, keep them identical everywhere, and answer the questions travellers actually ask.
- Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity what a traveller would, such as 'quiet family resort in north Phuket near the airport'. Note who appears and why.
- Write the facts travellers ask about as plain text: location, room types, facilities, family or adults-only, airport distance, pets and accessibility.
- Keep your name, address, star rating and facilities identical on your website, booking platforms, maps and social pages.
- Booking platforms and review sites are likely to stay part of AI answers; make sure your details there are complete and current.
- Tafei builds a verified official profile for the hotel and reports monthly how often AI answers mention it.
